Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is destined for unrequited love since Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) just doesn’t feel the same way about him. Nicole’s heart will always belong to Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) deep down – and that’ll really be the case once Nicole finds out she’s carrying his baby.
Of course, DOOL fans can probably expect some paternity test tampering along the way.
EJ may believe he’s the father for a while or even willingly pretend to be the bio dad depending on the circumstances.
Regardless, it makes sense for Days to give the true father title to Eric and use this baby to set up his inevitable reunion with Nicole.
That reunion will leave EJ battling a broken heart, but he won’t be the only one!
Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) has also set herself up for heartbreak by even falling for Eric in the first place considering his history with Nicole.
Unfortunately, Days spoilers suggest Sloan has also doomed her relationship by promising there’ll be no more secrets while keeping yet another secret from Eric.
Sloan agreed to keep her mouth shut about Nicole’s pregnancy and the paternity mystery, but the timing couldn’t be worse due to everything happening with Colin Bedford (Jasper Newman).
Since Sloan lied about her brother being in town, Eric is extremely sensitive to deception right now.
This isn’t the first time Sloan has misled Eric or flat-out lied to his face, so he’s understandably wary.
Days spoilers say Sloan’s decision to keep Nicole’s secret could come back to haunt her, especially if some paternity test manipulation makes a mess.
Whatever the case, Eric made it clear that he’d be done with Sloan if she hid something from him again – and now she’s indeed hiding something.
This isn’t just about the secret itself; it’s about the trust that Eric can never seem to build with Sloan, who keeps getting in her own way.
Eric may stay true to his word and dump Sloan eventually.
It’ll be far easier to get past Nicole’s deception since she has purer motives and a more sympathetic situation due to her previous miscarriages.
Sloan could end up single and brokenhearted at the same time as EJ, so maybe they could commiserate and down their sorrows.
From there, EJ and Sloan could hit the sheets as they try to ease each other’s pain.
Sloan and EJ will understand each other during a difficult time, so it’s easy to imagine these two becoming hook-up buddies or even letting their romance develop into something more.
